Now launch the HOFA-Plugins Manager on the USB drive (“HOFA-Plugins Manager Offline.exe”) and click on the button "Licenses" at the top right.
You might need to login to you HOFA-Plugins account.
On the following page, you can choose the first option “Activate licenses”. You can then select the USB flash drive as the device the licenses should be installed on.
Installing your plugins on the offline computer
Now connect your drive to the computer that has no access to the internet and open the HOFA-Plugins Manager there. An overview will appear containing all the products that are available for installation.
First, select the software you wish to install by checking the corresponding box on the right side of the Manager.
Select the plugin formats you wish to install at the bottom of the HOFA-Plugins Manager. For Windows, we recommend only checking VST3, for Mac to both check VST3 and AU, and for Pro Tools users to only check the Pro Tools box instead.
View: Windows
View: macOS
You can now click on “Install” at the bottom of the Plugins Manager:
You can now click on “Start” to begin the installation:
Once the plugins are installed, you just need to make sure that the DAW recognizes the plugins by selecting the installation path in the DAW and conducting a rescan.
Please note that the USB drive can be used simultaneously for other purposes without any problems, e.g. for files and licenses from other manufacturers. To free up space, the HOFA-Plugins Manager can also be deleted after the plugin installation is completed. However, the folder “HOFA_Licenses” containing the licenses should not be removed or renamed.
Using the licenses on the USB drive
As long as the USB drive is plugged into your device, the plugins are licensed on your computer. These licenses on that same USB drive can also be used on other devices. The plugins on a device are always active for as long as the USB drive is plugged into it.
